I got confirmation that they have indeed received my paperwork. I also got an unexpected bonus: a time estimate. The woman on the phone said it takes "around sixty days" for them to respond to one of these.
good to hear that your paperwork was received, and that you've been given a timeframe. i hope it all works out well, with no kicking or screaming or crying. well, ok, the IRS and kick and scream and cry when they figure out that they wasted their time and resources on this. ;-)
