One of those days

Ever have one of those days when you're pretty much sorry you did every single thing you did that day?

1. Woke up. Found about eight million spots of cat puke all over the house. Again.
2. Went to work. A bummer right there, really.
3. Bought lunch; arrived back at work just when the delicious leftovers from the sales meeting became available for the rest of us.
4. Got productive just when I was starting to feel guilty for not coming home.
5. Made a side trip to pick up some stuff [livejournal.com profile] rfrench and I needed. Bad idea. Mostly, all I found was crap we didn't really need, crap I then felt obligated to spend money on.
6. Came home. Was greeted with "You missed some spots of cat puke this morning. It ruined the finish on the dining room table."

Right then. Can I have today over?

You've mentioned this before and it stuck in my mind. I suspect she's got SOMEthing, and IBD might well be it. If I take her to my vet and say "does this cat have IBD" are there tests he can run that will diagnose it?

IBD is diagnosed definitively with biopsy, is my understanding. I went thru a number of prior procedures and tests before doing that. However, many cats are managed just by changing diet to a 'novel' protein that they haven't eaten before. THese are prescription foods or you have to make them yourself (I tried that for a bit, but the cats didn't like it any better than the canned stuff), like IVD (a brand).

Which is not to say it's necessarily IBD, but throwing up that much probably isn't 'normal.'

biopsy

Ow. :/

Novel protein, eh? That could be an easy thing to start.

And yeah, I think she's got SOMEthing wrong. Poor mite.
