I am now the proud holder of an FAA Medical Certificate Third Class.

Next step: become the proud holder of a BFR (Biennial Flight Review) signoff from an instructor. That one will take a little longer. :-)

But once I do all the work of finding an airport and arranging a flight and all that, my brain is going to start reminding me how much simpler it would be to just take a class or something. And that's when I need to start worrying about money and everything. :)

Yeeeeeaaaaaah, there is that. Sometimes we can fool ourselves -- "I'm eating only one potato chip, really I am!" -- and sometimes we're just too smart to fall for that trick.
