As far as body building--right now I'm doing a very simple routine--one major "lift" per major body area.
Which areas are you targeting? And how specific do you mean by major area -- is "arms" one area, or is it "upper arms" and "biceps", or...?
Since I'm just starting (back again), it doesn't take much to see results. As I get more buff (Ha!), I'll have to get more specific about the exercises, sets, etc.
I like that effect - early rewards help keep a person going!

Yes, I am! I have never done any weight training before. Mostly, I exercise for specific activities -- if I want to backpack, I hike, then hike wearing a pack. That sort of thing. But now I'm thinking there are parts of me that I'd like to tone and maybe even sculpt a little. My upper arms, my belly, my butt. I just don't really know how to start.
