What a saga.

Today I read all my e-mail, both work and personal, and read lots of LJ entries. I have not yet resubscribed to one high-volume list I ducked for the holidays. I have heard how lots of my coworkers spent their holidays. I bet almost nobody gets much done on the second of January. It's just that kind of time: reconnect with your existing life.

(There is something to be said for the idea that any existing life requiring more than eight hours to reconnect is Too Damn Complicated and needs some serious streamlining.)

Also had a chiropractic adjustment this morning on my way in to work. Wow, did I ever need that. Hadn't had one in weeks, plus all the carrying things on one shoulder in airports and the designed-for-pain seat backs in commercial aircraft... My neck hasn't made that amount of noise in probably five years. I'm a little stiff and achey now, but I CAN TURN MY HEAD.

More details later. I'm raaaaavenous.
